Driving for work

Regular training and refresher training are common in the workplace, often for tasks that employees do day after day and are very proficient at. Everyone recognises that this training/refresher training is important.

But when it comes to driving it is assumed that if you have a driving licence you can drive.  That may be true to a point, but laws rules and the Highway Code change every year.  Vehicle design and capabilities also change on a very regular basis.  Different road layouts are designed for a changing environment.

This list isn't exhaustive, so how many drivers keep up to date with all these changes?  If laws, rules and procedures are constantly changing then millions of drivers are driving to different interpretations, making our roads a volatile environment.

Driving a taxi for work

Driving a taxi for work can be a very rewarding and satisfying way to work for yourself.

Many councils, including Cumbria, won't grant a taxi licence unless you have passed a taxi driving test.  Some candidates feel that, because they have a full driving licence, that the test is easy.  It is not that easy, most who follow that route fail and have to take professional lessons in order to pass.

So why not save money and take those lessons straight away and give your self a better chance to pass at the first attempt?
