The Practical Driving Test is about 38 to 40 minutes long, now with just one manoeuvre, about ten minutes of independent driving and two "tell me, show me questions". The manoeuvre will be either a turn in the road, reverse around a corner, or a parking exercise.
One thing to remember on the independent drive is if you forget you directions, or get lost then ask. The examiner will answer your questions and you cannot fail for going the wrong was, as long as it is legal and safe.
The Carlisle Driving Test Centre is now based in Port Road, Carlisle. If you would like the full address and links to the various driving test routes CLICK HERE.
The DSA recommend about 25 hours of private practical driving lessons and 40 with an approved driving instructor. But remember we are all different, some will learn faster than others and some slower. With me you will be taking your driving test when you are ready, not before and not after. I do this, because I don't just want you to pass your test, I want you to be safe for life and to take just the amount of lessons you need.

One of the reasons parents give for not taking their son, or daughter, on driving lessons is the cost of insurance. But now you can have your own insurance on your parents car.
